Andrew sources disruptive, SaaS, tech deals as part of Rivers Capital’s investor group and connected Family Offices. Andrew leads a "just in time" JIT venture funding consortium that invests in early stage, post revenue, typically SaaS disruptive tech.
By building a supportive angel network around these high growth companies the JIT funding strategy is typically half as dilutive for the founders as traditional vc models. Using this methodology, he took Mimecast from series 1 to Nasdaq (market cap now $1.5bn). Other investee companies currently include Akkroo, Rota and Oradian.
After graduating from the University of Natal in South Africa (Economics) and gaining a Higher Diploma in Taxation from Rand Afrikaans University, Andrew trained with the Rand Merchant Bank. Andrew was Head of Investments for the Americas with Ansbacher Private Bank, a Director for Barclays Wealth for three years and Head of Private Clients International at GAM until 2017
